Laurel Elementary School Teacher Receives Excellence Award
Ms. White is recognized for her extraordinary efforts on a daily basis to provide her students with every opportunity to succeed. She is recognized for her work teaching with the Academy of READING. She went above and beyond this year ensuring that her Academy implementation was top notch.
Dr. Chuck Benigno, Superintendent, Laurel School District, said, "The infusion of Academy of READING into our student support system played a huge role in our ability to exceed the state on the new mandated 3rd grade reading test. The implementation was seamless and the support from TE21 was amazing!"
The teacher nominations represent thousands of talented educators across the country devoted to making sure their students have the opportunity to succeed, and Ms. White stood out because of her dedication and her willingness to go above and beyond in a creative manner to ensure that her students received the support needed in order to succeed. Often giving up her lunch block to bring students back in for one-on-one coaching is something you just don’t see that often, but that was a norm for Ms. White. Doing what was right for her students was priority. Progress goals were set throughout the year and innovative incentive plans were utilized to reward students for goals met. Inventive strategies and unique forms of communication with her students during implementation also made her quite the standout.
TE21 Inc. is the sole source resource seller for the Academy of READING and the Academy of MATH in NC, SC, Mississippi, and Southern Virginia while EPS is the Publisher of the Academy intervention along with many other interventions.
