Jackson Public Schools (MS) teachers recently participated in a contest for “Best Incentive Plan.” Ms. Davis from Marshall Elementary School was the winner of the “Best Incentive Plan” for the store she started for her Academy of READING students. Students are allowed to choose prizes from various levels based upon the number of weekly skills earned. In addition, she set a long-term goal in which students worked to achieve 50 percent program completion by a specified date in December. Each student who reached 50 percent program completion received a raffle ticket for a chance to win a shopping spree. Two lucky students won gift certificates to go shopping at Toys R US.
